WHO ARE YOU??
Who Are You When Nobody’s Watching?
It’s easy to look good when people are watching.
But who are you when you’re alone?
That question says more about your character than anything else.
Legendary coach John Wooden once explained the difference between character and reputation this way:
Your reputation is what people think you are.
Your character is who you really are.
And honestly, that’s something most people never stop to think about.
Are you the same person at work as you are at home?
Do your values stay the same when nobody is around?
Or are you constantly putting on different versions of yourself depending on the situation?
The truth is, pretending to be someone you’re not eventually becomes exhausting. And sooner or later, the real version of you always shows up.
Maybe the deeper question is this:
If you have to constantly fake who you are in certain places… are those places really meant for you?
This is such a great topic, your reputation and character.
